Reynaldo Rivera

Reynaldo "Sonny" Rivera was born in 1938 in Mesquite, NM, a small town between Los Cruces and El Paso, TX. At the age of 40, he turned to sculpture, studying at the Chicago Academy of Art and in Florence, Italy. He presently lives and works in Albuquerque, NM and is known for many works commemorating life in his native southwest, including the monumental "Journey's End" at Museum Hill, in Santa Fe.
